Blender 2.8 and Grease Pencil

Hello everyone,

Here is a small update on what I’m currently working on.

Blender 2.8

Recently I started exploring Blender, which is a free and open source 3D creation program. I was used to be working in 3Ds Max but Blender feels much more intuitive to me.
I also invested in Jama Jurabaev Gumroad videos on Grease Pencil in Blender.

In short: grease pencil makes for a nice connection between 2D and 3D. In the example below I started with a sketch in Grease Pencil (leftmost small image), which is basically a 3d object. This allow me to rotate it around to snapshot different shots. Those shots I can take to Photoshop to sketch or render them out.

Still much to learn, I also started modelling one of the photo-bashes I did recently for class as a practice:

Here is a helmet first sketched out with Blender’s Grease Pencil and then transformed to a geometry mesh:
